Input Your Voiceflow API Key


Before getting started, make sure to input your Voiceflow API Key in the designated area, as shown in the image below.


About the Workflow


This workflow is designed to provide seamless product recommendations. When a user expresses interest in a particular product, the chatbot responds with a carousel showcasing the best matches. There are two ways to access this flow:

  • Selecting the "Recommend me a product" option from the main menu.

  • Asking a direct question (e.g., "Do you sell any green shirts?").



How It Works


Once the user specifies the type of product they are looking for, we enhance their query using AI to improve accuracy. Then, a Knowledge Base Search is performed to find relevant products. (If you haven’t set up your product knowledge base yet, check out our guide on how to send products to your KB.)

The retrieved product data is structured into carousel cards, each displaying:

  • An image of the product

  • The product title and a short description

  • A CTA button linking directly to the product page



Enhancing the Recommendation Process


After displaying the carousel, the bot can now assist users in choosing the best product based on their preferences and needs. By leveraging AI-powered prompts, users receive tailored recommendations that match their specific requirements—whether that’s a tight budget, a preferred color, or a must-have feature.
